Ik ben vandaag vertrokken met mijn ouders naar de noordzijde van de St. Lawrence rivier om 5 dagen met onze tentjes een fjord te bekijken du Saguenay. Opnieuw een kans om walvissen en zelfs baluga`s te zien. Hopelijk volgen er mooie foto`s. Gelukkig is het nu weer zonnig na een hele koude ochtend met 16C. Dat is wel wat anders dan 32C. Het helpt ook niet echt om van mijn hoesterij af te komen maar goed hopelijk helpt de zon.

Today I started the trip with my parents on the northside of the St. Lawrence river. We are going to spend 5 days around fjord du Saguenay. An other change to see whales and baluga`s again. Hopefully you will see the nice pictures later. Finally we got the sun again after a very cold start this morning with 16 C, something else then 32C and not very good for my cough.

More wedding photo's

Zoals jullie al hebben kunnen zien hadden we prachtig weer, wel veel wind maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken. Op een klein stukje gras aan het strand met uitzicht op de bergen heeft de trouwceremonie plaats gevonden. Met ongeveer 25 gasten was het een intiem gebeuren.
Na het officiele gedeelte hadden mijn ouders nog een mooie speech zowel in het Nederlands als in het Frans. Vervolgens foto's gemaakt en toen naar de herberg waar het diner plaats zou vinden.
Daar was natuurlijk champagne, heerlijke borrelhapjes en vervolgens het eten. Mijn zussen hebben een "stukje" gedaan. Nu weet iedereen wat oer Hollands is. Als afsluiting hebben we nog een kampvuur gemaakt bovenop een berg met een uitzicht over de Saint Lawrence rivier.

As most of you could see the weather was beautifull, very windy but that was oke. On a small piece of gras next to the beach we had our wedding. Its was very intimit with ca.. 25 guest. After the official part my parents had a speech in Dutch as French as well and then we slowly moved to the gite where we had our dinner.
We started of course with champagne and very nice snacks. My sisters did some typical Dutch speech with gifts so the Canadians know now what's typical Dutch. And last but not least we made a campfire at the hill with a view over the Saint Lawrence river.

Only 5 more days

Na 2 heerlijke weken samen op vakantie geweest te zijn, zijn we weer terug. Nu hard bezig met de laatste voorbereidingen. Vanmiddag naar Montreal zodat we daar morgen onze laatste dingen kunnen doen en woensdagochtend uitgerust zijn om mijn familie van het vliegveld te halen en weer terug te rijden.
Van 25 tot over de 30C van afgelopen week is het opeens maar 14 C. Het lijkt wel NL. De weerverwachting geeft voor zaterdag 60% kans op regen aan nu maar hopen dat dit niet klopt.

After 2 nice weeks of holiday together we are back. We are now busy with the last preparations for the wedding. This afternoon well leave for Montreal to do the last things there and to be relaxed to pick my family up at wednesday moning and then drive back.
From 25 until over 30 C last weeks its suddenly 14 C, it looks like Holland.
The weatherforecast predicts at this moment 60% change of rain for saturday, I hope they are wrong.

Cape Breton
English at the end
We zijn nu bijna op het noordelijkste puntje van Cape Breton op Nova Scotia. We hebben en kampeerplekje met uitzicht op de oceaan. Nu maar hopen dat er walvissen voorbij zwemmen. Dit is weer eens wat anders dan de vele eekhoorntjes die je ontbijt proberen te stelen. Aankomende dagen zal het weer mooi weer zijn dus kunnen we weer gaan wandelen. Foto's volgen snel
We are in the north of Cape Breton on Nova Scotia. We have a camping spot with a nice view over the ocean. I hope we will see some whales swimming by. Thats something else then all the squirls trying to steal our breakfast. The next few days the weather will be great so time to go hiking again. Soon Ill put some pictures here.
